In collaboration with Robot Union and TUDelft we developed a proof of concept solution for a novel mobile robotics product aimed at poultry farmers. The robot is equipped with an intelligent computer vision system and a detachable robotic arm module which is used to automate a variety of manipulative tasks.
We developed and commissioned a bespoke system which uses a robotic arm to manipulate sample tubes between lab analysers. The sample throughput was improved by an order of magnitude since the system is able to run 24h per day without interruption. To date over 150,000 samples have been successfully processed using the system.
We developed a proof of concept for a novel automated system designed to handle deliveries of new component stock. The system included modules for removing standardised plastic packaging as well as cleaning and drying so it can be returned for re-use. The system required the design of a bespoke end effector as well as the various modules which interface with the manipulator. We developed a tablet based human machine interface which enables an operator to remotely monitor and control the process.
We developed and implemented a computer vision system to identify target objects for an agricultural pick and place application. The system used a process known as visual servoing position the gripper over the object without the need for a 3D camera system.
We developed and commissioned proof of concept for an automated harvesting system in a hydroponics application. The system is capable of performing daily harvest with automated functions such as wash-down between cycles and crop dewatering. The system enabled faster harvest times and significantly reduced labour OpEx.
We designed and commissioned a mobile IoT sensor for an agri-tech application. The platform was capable of navigating through the farm whilst uploading live data to the cloud. The unit is equipped with an advanced computer vision system to enable detailed monitoring of the crop condition.
